Karen MacKenzie is a clinical social worker dedicated to helping those struggling with substance use disorders. Karen focuses on building trusting therapeutic relationships that encourage the exploration of issues that hinder sobriety. She specializes in exploring self-esteem, the effect of shame and trauma, as well as the impact and quality of attachment and close relationships.
Anna graduated from Suffolk University with a degree in Clinical Psychology and recently completed her curriculum at UMass Boston in the Alcoholism/Chemical Dependency Treatment Service Program. Since 2005, she has been visiting high schools to share her family’s experience in the alcohol related death of her brother in 1995.
