Family Coaching is focused on assessing and adapting present habits in order to get future results. This is accomplished by focusing on strengths, goals and developing strategies to support growth. Initial Family Coaching questions may include:
What are your goals for coaching?
What do you want to get out of talking to a coach?
What are your strengths individually or as a family?
What are your success stories?
What are the qualities you appreciate about yourselves individually or as a family?
Family Coaching is designed for those who are ready to take behavioral action and obtain results, while Family Therapy focuses more on understanding underlying behaviors, roles and emotions. Family Coaching is not a substitute for therapeutic treatment which may be suggested in some circumstances.
